Another salmon has been caught on the Fox and Hounds water and the sea trout are starting to arrive. It’s getting exciting!
Are you ready? The mayfly are just starting to appear in small numbers but the hatch is only going to start building and it won’t be long until the fish get “locked on” to them.
The weather has been either warm or cold so it has made the fishing mixed. That having been said we have been catching some nice trout on dry flies!
The grannom hatch has pretty much finished. Still some large brook duns and March Browns. Fish preferring the bigger dries right now.
We had our annual start of the season gathering to celebrate the start of the trout fishing season here in Devon. Trout were caught and a good time was had!
The first salmon are starting to be caught on the Taw. 2 so far as of 17/3
We’re just back from the hugely successful London Fly Fair and are now starting the countdown to the start of the trout season here in Devon!
