At the Devon School of Fly Fishing we are extremely proud of our team of guides and the service they can provide you when out on the River Taw. Our fly fishing guides are not just up to date with the latest techniques being employed on rivers but also have a great deal of experience of all of the skills needed to unlock the river, making the day on the river a memorable one.
Our team have their fingers on the pulse of the river and know where the current best spots are to fish and what the main hatches are, along with the times they take place.
If it is your first time fly fishing a river you will be in good hands and we will soon put you at ease showing you the safest way to wade the river, along with the casts you’ll need to get your fly in those “tricky to reach” spots that always hold the best fish!
Our guides NEVER fish on your day. They might hold your rod to demonstrate a cast or technique but they never bring a rod along and fish. We are providing you with a service and don’t see the day as an excuse to catch a few fish.
Along with all of this our fly fishing guides are good company to be on the river and will make sure you have an enjoyable time with us.
