One of the important things is being able to fire off a cast with minimal false casting and with good accuracy so that you are able to hit the targetted fish with ease. This will make that special trip even more enjoyable if you are able to do this.
Although there is often talk that you will be casting into the wind at 80ft this is rarely the case but being able to double haul will make life a lot easier for you.
We advise that it is worth practicing before you go and having target on the ground is worth trying. It is worth trying it from a variety of distances and with differing wind conditions to give you a good idea of what it will be like. I know this isn’t like the real thing but it will give you a good idea of what is required.
