Located in Eggesford between Dartmoor and Exmoor the Devon School of Fly Fishing is ideally placed for every fly fishing opportunity you could ever want in Devon. With 5 miles of the river Taw right on our doorstep it is just a simple walk down to the river for guided fly fishing for trout, sea trout and salmon and a 10 minute drive to some of our other private beats. The fly fishing lessons take place just a short walk away on our own private lake.

The Devon School of Fly Fishing is easy to find being located on the A377 Exeter to Barnstaple Road also making it the perfect location for the non angling friend or partner with plenty to do in the area.

Your Day Out At The Devon School Of Fly Fishing

We start at 9.30am in the “snug” at the Fox and Hounds to meet your fly fishing guide or instructor and then it is off fishing! The day ends at 5pm but if we happen to hit a spectacular hatch or the salmon switch on you won’t find us marching you off the water!

Please bring any gear you have with you for your fly fishing lesson and don’t forget a hat, sunglasses (polarised are best) and rod license. We are happy to supply you any gear you might not have free of charge and we are proud to only use the very best in tackle from Orvis.
