The grannom hatch has pretty much finished. Still some large brook duns and March Browns. Fish preferring the bigger dries right now.
We still have some good water for salmon so if you fancy swinging some flies let us know!
Well, Pete has caught the first salmon of the season at the Fox and Hounds so we are off the mark!
The rain has stopped for the time being and the river is dropping back. Dust down the salmon gear!
The weather has had an impact on the river in the short term. We’ve already lost some guiding days which is a shame but the is always a silver lining: it should bring some salmon up!
We had our annual start of the season gathering to celebrate the start of the trout fishing season here in Devon. Trout were caught and a good time was had!
